Our policies and reports
Our policies and reports help families understand how our school works. Our annual report and school plan show what we’ve done and how we’re improving each year. Our policies address attendance, absences, behaviour, uniform and how we respond to your concerns.
Annual school report
Each year, we share our progress in the annual school report. It gives families a clear picture of how our school is performing and how we’re supporting every student’s success. The report reflects our commitment to openness, accountability and continuous improvement.
The report includes:
- what we’re doing well and where we’re improving
- student achievement and academic progress
- our school vision and goals
- key highlights and milestones
- challenges we’ve faced and how we’re addressing them.
School excellence plan
Our school excellence plan (SEP) is a working document that shows our priorities in learning, teaching and leading. It explains our focus areas for improvement and how we plan to get there. We write our SEP with help from our school community so it reflects our shared priorities.
School behaviour support and management plan
Our school has a school behaviour support and management plan (SBSMP). The SBSMP helps us create a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment for all students. It sets clear expectations for student behaviour. This includes how we respond to bullying and cyberbullying. We work together with our school community to shape the plan and review it each year.
Mobile phone and digital device policy
Mobile phones are banned in NSW public schools.
Leeton High School uses Yondr pouches to manage student devices on school grounds during school hours. Since the introduction of Yondr pouches we have found students to be better able to focus on their learning and we thank everyone for their support.
Students are allocated a YONDR pouch to keep their phone in during the school day. At the start of the day students will turn their phone off/on silent, unlock their YONDR pouch, place their phone in their pouch and secure it in their bag for the day. At the end of the school day, they can unlock their pouches and turn their phone back on. The pouch belongs to the school, but students are responsible for it during their time at school. If the pouch is damaged in any way the student will need to pay fee to replace it.

School Representation Agreement
Please see the School Representation Agreement which provides clarity around attendance and behaviour expectations regarding being eligible to represent the school.
Attendance at School
Regular attendance at school is compulsory. If a student is absent a note from the parent/caregiver must be brought on the day the student returns to school. Such notes should give details of the reason for the absence, and should be handed in to Front Office. Alternatively attendance/leave can be submitted through Sentral within seven (7) days of the absence.
