Jorgy Gets a Double Gold Jacket!

Last week's assembly

This person is a school leader, a saw the well-deserved presentation of a Double Gold jacket to school Vice-Captain, Jorgy Eglinton.  In paying tribute to Jorgy on assembly, Year 12 Adviser, Ms Joni Lucas described her as a 'fantastic role model, and a diligent student, who works consistently in all classes to achieve the best results possible. She has approached her Higher School Certificate year with the same maturity and positive attitude she brings to the sports field.

'Jorgy is an exceptional leader, and a wonderful role model for younger students. She is well liked by both her teachers and her peers, as she is a friendly, polite and outgoing student who always gives her best effort in all areas.'

A dedicated sportsperson, Jorgy has represented Leeton High School in a huge variety of sports, from the local level through to the state. Her natural ability in all areas makes her an absolute asset to any sport she participates in, as she brings her talent, tenacity and intelligence to the field. She has captained a number of school sides, including netball, touch football and League Tag, and is a naturally fair, encouraging and positive leader. Off the field, she has assisted and refereed at community and town carnivals, proving herself to be a community-minded and selfless student.

As a school leader, Jorgy has participated in school events including the ANZAC Day march, and running school assemblies. She really is a student who can be proud to say that she helps to make Leeton High the wonderful school that it is.

Proud moment for both Mum and LHS!
